Introduction to safeguarding for managers (FREE)
Gain an understanding of safeguarding and the requirements for British Council accreditation when offering courses to students under the age of 18. This is a free module from Accreditation UK, the quality assurance scheme for UK language centres.
The course is free and should only take about 45 minutes.
Description
A self-access module introducing the topic of safeguarding in language centres. You’ll gain an overall understanding of the issues which can arise for children learning English in the UK and the adults who teach or care for them. Different versions of this module are available for teachers/academic staff, homestay hosts, activity staff, other language centre staff (e.g. reception or customer services) and group leaders. The content is the same but the scenarios are role-specific.
